Emlie Miller, 5th grader at Central Elementary, competed at the Kentucky Middle School State Golf Tournament on September 24th at Juniper Hills Golf Course in Frankfort, Kentucky.  Miller placed 4th among the female competitors.  With a score of 82, she came in 36th overall (boys and girls).

GC Golf Coach Jade Miller shared, "It was a great experience for Emlie to compete in the Middle School State tournament as a 5th grader. The level of competition is very impressive. She came in 4th out of the girls. We are so proud of her and what she has accomplished.”

When Emlie Miller was asked about her favorite moment from the state tournament, in true golfer style, she was very descriptive when recounting the moment.

The 5th grader states, “On the last hole, I made a 20-foot breaking putt. It broke 3 feet from right to left and went in for par. That was fun!”

Emlie thanks her parents, Jonathan and Jade Miller, for their time and support. Miller loves the game and the friends she has made.  She continues to improve year after year.

Coach Miller says, “She represented Graves County well, and we can't wait to see what she does in the future."
