Practice with a Purpose

Members of the Graves County High School Girls Varsity Cross Country Team have been devoting time this summer to a worthy cause, giving back to the community and creating joy for all involved parties.

Organized by Coach Kayla Wilson, the girls meet her early once a week at GCHS to get in their morning run toward a unique location, the Mayfield-Graves County Animal Shelter. Once they arrive, their practice becomes even more purposeful. The group volunteers at the shelter by walking and running dogs as well as serving to complete any other task needed.

The Graves County High School Girls Varsity Cross Country Team has made many furry friends this summer. The student-athletes encourage the community to consider providing forever homes for these loving animals by adopting from the Mayfield-Graves County Animal Shelter.
