The Pioneer Award committee is soliciting nominations for our Pioneer Award that is given out at the Fancy Farm Picnic which will take place Saturday, August 6th. The Pioneer Award is given to a person(s) who gives their time, talent, and treasure to make their community a better place. Nominations are open to anyone who resides in Mayfield/Graves Co.
Members of the committee are Gayle Robbins, Deborah Crooks, Diane Smithson, Doug Sims, Richard Parker, Derrick Parrott, Darvin Towery, and Phil Myers.
The deadline for application is June 25th and can be mailed to Diane Smithson at 818 Rule Shack Mayfield, Ky. 42066. Additional applications can be picked up at the Graves Co. Public Library, Independence Bank, the YMCA, or the Chamber of Commerce.
