Three Graves County High School students have been selected to attend this summer’s 2022 Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts. Congratulations to GCHS juniors Casey Wurth and Erin Graham for their recognition in Visual Arts and to GCHS sophomore Natalie Sims for Vocal Music.
All Graves County High School students who participated in the audition and portfolio requirements of the application process were invited to attend. These three went through a very intense and incredibly selective process and, in the end, were selected to be some of the top representatives for the state in their medium of the arts.
In July, the three-week residential program will be held at the University of Kentucky. The students will attend specialized classes for training in their field of expertise. Colleges throughout the state award sizable to full-tuition scholarships to students that complete the program. We look forward to individually highlighting these students over the months to come as they continue their journey.
2022 GSA students, we are proud for you, your families, and the educators that have touched your life along the way. Congratulations!
