GCHS FFA Gives Back to Nursing Home Staff
This year has undoubtedly taken lots of milestones and special moments away from students of all ages, but the Graves County FFA is still finding ways to give to others in the midst of the pandemic.
The GCHS FFA Chapter decided to acknowledge the hard work of a vital group of people in our community, the staff of our area nursing homes. On Tuesday, some chapter members delivered fruit and snack baskets for the employees at our local facilities.
GCHS FFA advisors Abby Lyell and Kelvin Howard are proud of their kids for choosing to give back to such a deserving group. “Our members decided to use some of the fruit from our annual fundraiser to put together nearly 20 gift baskets,” said Lyell. The students then delivered them to the local facilities for the employees. She added, “GCHS FFA members are living to serve, as the FFA motto states!”
On behalf of the district, we are proud of our FFA members for going above and beyond to recognize the hard work of others.
