GETTING A GRIP ON FITNESS

GETTING A GRIP ON FITNESS – Project Fit America training supervisor Steve Cox shows Graves County Central Elementary School third graders how to use the horizontal ladder on the school’s playground. He visited the school recently to train physical education teacher Karen Kingins to maximize use of the equipment Western Baptist Hospital donated in the fall of 2007 in collaboration with Project Fit America. PFA is a national, non-profit organization formed in 1990 and dedicated to helping children to be physically fit. PFA administers grants that its sponsors donate to schools, grades K-12. Western Baptist made a similar donation to Paducah’s McNabb Elementary School. The physical education teacher there also underwent training recently.
