seniors (from left) Collin F, Laura S, and Adam C recently were honored as AP
Scholars for their work last school year. Two 2009 GCHS graduates also were so
designated: Ethan Bennett and Sirena Wurth. The College Board’s Advanced
Placement Program provides students the opportunity to complete college-level
courses while still in high school. More than 90 percent of America’s four-year
colleges and universities accept such c

for post-secondary academic credit when students score 3 or higher on the
5-point scale of AP exams. AP Scholars are those students who complete three or
more AP exams with grades of 3 or higher. Approximately 18 percent of the nearly
1.7 million students worldwide who took AP exams last year earned the AP Scholar
Award.
